Two famous news anchors resign on the same day
Your favorite news anchor Jane Ngoiri has resigned from NTV the same day Samuel Njoroge announced his resignation from KBC.
Speaking to one of the local blogpost, Ngoiri did not give more details on the reason for her move but instead said she is resigning to focus on personal projects.
“It is true that I have resigned from NTV. I left for personal reasons,” she confirmed.
She revealed that Thursday 28th January was her last day on air and she will be announcing her next move to her fans through her social media pages.
For years, Ngoiri had been anchoring Swahili news alongside Nimrod Tabu who would later move to Citizen Television.
At the time of her resignation, Ngoiri was anchoring the Swahili news at NTV alongside Salim Swaleh.
In December 2020, Ngoiri was among 158 civilians awarded the Head of State Commendation (HSc) by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Prior to working for Nation Media, Ngoiri worked at K24 as an English news anchor.
At NTV Ngoiri was the Senior Swahili anchor for the station.
Her resignation coincided with KBC Good Morning news review anchor Sawuel Njoroge.

Njoroge announced his resignation from KCB on Thursday on a morning live show (Entertainment Thursday).
Njoroge stated that he was resigning as result of emerging interests and other things he has to concentrate on. He said he will be announcing his next move to his fans soon.
Just a week ago. Grace Kuria an English news anchor from KTN also announced her resignation. In her resignation message, Kuria thanked her fans and management for the opportunity.
