TSC Announces 1500 Vacancies For Teachers. How to Apply

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced 1,550 vacancies for replacement of teachers in both Primary and secondary schools.
The vacancies were declared after an equal number of teachers exited the service through natural attrition.
Of the 1550 post, 1,119 posts are for primary schools while 431 posts are for replacement in secondary school.
TSC has announced that the teachers who will be recruited will serve on Permanent and Pensionable terms of service.

Eligibility and application process

For one to be eligible to make an application;

  1. One must be a Kenyan citizen
  2. Must be a holder of P1 certificate in the case of primary school and a minimum of diploma in education in case of secondary school.
  3. One must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission
Application Process

Interested and qualified candidates for secondary school vacancies have been asked to submit their applications online through the Commission’s website, www.tsc.go.ke under ‘Careers’ or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke
Primary school vacancies will be filled using the 2020/2021 Merit Lists generated in September 2020. Successful candidates will be informed by the County Directors of the counties where they were merited. Specific information on available vacancies per county/or schools can be found on the Commission’s website: www.tsc.go.ke.

TSC Vacancies Application Deadline

Applicants have been asked to present their application to the commission not later than 8th March, 2021. The commission has stated that manual application shall not be accepted.
Further,the commission has stated that to qualify for appointment on permanent and pensionable terms of service, a candidate should be eligible to serve for a minimum period of ten (10) continuous years, effective from the date of first appointment as required by law.

TSC has cautioned applicants that the application is free.
“Teachers Service Commission would wish to forewarn applicants against fraudsters who might extort money from unsuspecting persons purporting to assist in recruitment.” The commission stated.
