Superior Homes Foundation Empowers Girls Through Menstrual Health Initiatives

Superior Homes Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to empowering girls across Kenya through a key initiative aimed at improving menstrual health. In a significant move, the Foundation donated a year’s supply of sanitary pads to Liberty Care Centre, a children’s home located in Mlolongo, offering a practical solution to one of the most pressing challenges faced by girls in underserved communities: access to menstrual hygiene products.
This donation is part of the Foundation’s broader mission to ensure that girls across Kenya can attend school without the hindrance of menstrual health issues. So far, the Foundation supports over 10,000 girls in 34 schools nationwide, providing them with essential menstrual hygiene products and engaging them through mentorship programs that cover a wide range of topics, including education, career development, and personal empowerment.
Liberty Care Centre, a home for underprivileged children, stands as a beacon of hope for many, offering support and care to vulnerable youth. The donation of sanitary pads is expected to alleviate one of the key barriers these girls face to accessing education, allowing them to focus on their studies and personal development without the added stress of inadequate menstrual care.
Faith Muthigani, the Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator for Superior Homes Kenya, emphasized the importance of such contributions in the Foundation’s mission to foster equality and empowerment. “Every girl matters, and providing access to menstrual hygiene products is a crucial step toward equality. Our partnership with Liberty Care Centre is a testament to our ongoing efforts to ensure that girls have the resources they need to thrive,” Muthigani stated.
She further highlighted that the Foundation’s work goes beyond just donations. “This donation is part of a larger effort to address the challenges many girls face in Kenya. By ensuring that girls have access to the necessary menstrual hygiene products, we aim to reduce school absenteeism and help these girls remain focused on their education and personal growth,” Muthigani said.
As the Foundation continues to expand its outreach, its goal is clear: to support young girls across Kenya in achieving their full potential by providing the resources and mentorship they need to succeed in life. The partnership with Liberty Care Centre is another step toward breaking down the barriers girls face, ensuring they can pursue their education with dignity and confidence.  Read More
