Police Launch a man hunt for Conseslus Kipruto after eloping with a Form 2 School Girl
Police in Nandi County have launched a man hunt for Olympic and world 3000 metres steeplechase champion Conseslus Kipruto,who is accused of eloping with a Form two student. According to a report filed at Mosoriot police by the teenager’s parents, Kipruto eloped with the girl for 3 days.
According to the report, the teenager had gone missing for some days but she was found 3 days later with her parents claiming that Kipruto was staying with their daughter at his home in Chesumei.

The girl who had gone missing for three days returned home and upon interrogation by the parents, the form two girl remained mump on where she had been staying. This prompted her parents to go through her phone and they were shocked to find out that she had been in constant communication with the 3000m world champion.
The girl would later admit she had been at Kipruto’s place prompting them to take action and file a report at Mosoriot police post, alleging their daughter had been defiled.
Confirming the filing of the police report at Mosoriot, Chesumei OCPD Bosita Omukolongolo said he couldn’t immediately establish the age of the girl.
“A report was filed at Mosoriot Police Station by the girl’s parents, who are complaining that Kipruto defiled their daughter. We cannot immediately confirm whether the girl is a minor or an adult. However, we are looking for the athlete whose whereabouts remain unknown,” Omukolongolo.
The athlete has since gone missing and the police have launched a manhunt to arrest him.
