LSK President Mourns Roseline Odhiambo Odede, A Pillar of Human Rights Advocacy

Roseline’s death marks a significant loss to the legal and human rights fraternity in Kenya.In her tribute, Faith Odhiambo reflected on her personal and professional encounters with Roseline. “I am deeply saddened to learn of Roseline’s passing. I had the privilege of serving alongside her at FIDA Kenya and within the Law Society of Kenya Council. She was a level-headed, collaborative, and selfless leader who always prioritized service to the people and the greater good,” she said.Roseline’s tenure as KNCHR Chairperson was marked by unparalleled courage and dedication to the rule of law and human rights. Under her leadership, the Commission navigated a challenging human rights environment in Kenya, standing firmly against impunity, government excesses, and poor governance.“Her commitment to justice and human dignity was unwavering,” Faith Odhiambo noted. “She embodied fortitude and resilience, championing the cause of human rights even in the most difficult circumstances.
