Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Siaya Campus is a top government sponsored medical colleges for students who wish to pursue courses in medical and nursing field in Siaya County. The Campus is next to Siaya County and Referral Hospital where our students get their clinical experiences. The college also take students for rural experiences and use the neighboring counties like Bukura H/C in Kakamega, Busia County and Referral Hospital, Alupe, Kocholia, Vihiga, among others.

KMTC Siaya Campus Fees

According to the latest fee structure, regular students at KMTC Siaya Campus pay college fee of between Ksh. 78,000 to Ksh, 80,000 per year and Self Sponsored students pay between Ksh.118,000 to Ksh. 120,7000 per year. The course duration will determine the cumulative amount you will pay as fees.

Students seeking to get admission to this KMTC are required to pay additional fees like Ksh.2000 for registration, Ksh 1000 activity fee, Ksh. 5,000 examination fee, Ksh. 2000 Library and ICT services fee among others. Additional fee is also charged for accommodation on boarding students.

How To apply to Join KMTC Siaya Campus

Each year, Kenya Medical Training College admits students for various Diploma and certificate courses. To apply, go to KMTC.ac.ke/portal or visit the KMTC campus nearest to you. Indicate the campus you prefer during the application process. Admission to the college is done twice a year, in March and September.

• Tailor-made in-house courses also provided; logistics arrangements as agreed with sponsor.

• Remedial studies and tuition for re-sit for courses lasting upto six months shall attract fees/charges of 50% of the program fees

KMTC Siaya Campus History

KMTC Siaya Campus is situated in Siaya County, Siaya town, next to Siaya County and Referral Hospital within Siaya Central Business District (CBD), about 70 km from Kisumu City. Siaya Campus started in September 2005 with a class of 66 students in the Department of Clinical Medicine. In March 2006, a class of 50 students for Diploma in Community Health Nursing was admitted. The Campus expanded in March 2008 following the admission of a certificate class in Health Records and Information Technology.

In September 2011, another Diploma Nursing class was admitted, bringing to two the number of nursing classes at the Campus. During the same period, two courses were introduced namely: Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology and an upgrading class of Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology.
