Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Lamu Campus is the best government sponsored medical training colleges for any students who wish to pursue courses in medical and nursing field in Lamu County. The college is located near Mokowe Sub-County Hospital. The Campus was established in September 2016 as collaboration between the KMTC Board of Directors and the County Government of Lamu.

Courses Offered At KMTC Lamu Campus
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery.
- Certificate in Enrolled Community Health Nursing (ECHN).
- Certificate in Orthopaedic Plaster Technology.

Facilities
The Lamu County Government has given the Campus a block at the Mokowe Sub-County Hospital that has been converted into four classrooms, one skills lab, and a computer lab.
The County Government has also allocated the Campus a 10-acre parcel of land adjoining the hospital where we have already built a modern tuition block with six classrooms and a computer lab.
Clinical experience
Students from the Campus gain their clinical experience from the following hospitals;
- Mpeketoni Hospital.
- King Fahad Hospital.

There is a wide range of sporting activities for students to get involved in including soccer, netball, handball and badminton.
KMTC Lamu Campus Fees and Joining Requirements
According to the latest fee structure, regular students at KMTC Lamu Campus pay college fee of between Ksh. 78,000 to Ksh, 80,000 per year and Self Sponsored students pay between Ksh.118,000 to Ksh. 120,700 per year. The course duration will determine the cumulative amount you will pay as fees.
Students seeking to get admission to this KMTC are required to pay additional fees like Ksh.2000 for registration, Ksh 1000 activity fee, Ksh. 5,000 examination fee, Ksh. 2000 Library and ICT services fee among others. Additional fee is also charged for accommodation on boarding students.

• Tailor-made in-house courses also provided; logistics arrangements as agreed with sponsor.

• Remedial studies and tuition for re-sit for courses lasting upto six months shall attract fees/charges of 50% of the program fees
