Karumo Technical Training Institute is a state of art TVET institution under the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) in the ministry of Education (MoE). It was constructed and fully equipped as a center of Excellence in Building Technology and Civil Engineering through Africa Development Bank (ADB)/Government of Kenya (GoK) as Economic Stimulus Project (ESP). The college is located in a serene environment in the leeward side of Nyambene Hills and near Isiolo Metropolis in Meru County 27 Kilometers from Meru town off Meru- Maua road fully tarmacked up to the gate. Karumo TTI sits on 25 acres of land (combined)
The college offers various certificate, Craft, Artisan, Diploma and Higher Diploma courses such us Architecture, Mechanical Engineering Courses, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Courses, Applied Science Courses, Applied Science Courses, Building and Civil Engineering Courses, Computer Studies, Business Studies Courses among others.
The minimum qualification for a diploma course at Karumo Technical Training Institute is C- in KCSE and D (Plain) for a certificate course.
