  President William Ruto, through his lawyer Fred Ngatia, mounted a strong defense on Monday, seeking to have a case aimed at impeaching him through a referendum dismissed. Ngatia argued that President Ruto is constitutionally immune from criminal or civil lawsuits while in office.
