Juja MP Francis Waititu is Dead
Juja MP Francis Waititu is dead. The news of the passing on of the MP reached the public domain yesterday evening some few Minutes after passing on at MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi.
His wife, Mrs Munyua, confirmed the passing on of the Juja MP.
“It with deep sorrow that we announce the passing on of our loving Dad Hon. Francis Munyua Waititu (Member of Parliament Juja Constituency). May His soul Rest in Eternal Peace and may God grant him the Divine Grace to accept His will, ” his wife stated.
In 2018, the MP came out publicly and announced he was suffering from cancer. The fight he said forced him to seek medical treatment in India.
Waititu disclosed to the journalists that he was forced to undergo a test following the advice from his mother after his elder sister died of cancer.
A number of Mps have eulogized the MP on Monday night.
“My colleague Wakapee- may you RIP. A gentle soul has rested.” South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro wrote on his social media account.
“Francis Munyua Waititu alias “Wakapee” was a principled, hardworking and respected leader who was above party politics. He was selfless, bold and gifted with an affable personality. We will miss his enterprising servant leadership that transformed many lives.” DP William Ruto Stated
President Uhuru Kenyatta has also sent a message of condolence to the family, relatives and residents of Juja constituency following the death of their Member of Parliament Francis Munyua Waititu.
In his message of comfort, President Kenyatta eulogised Hon Francis Waititu, famously known by his moniker, ‘Wakapee’, as a progressive, trusted and devoted leader.
“We’ve sadly lost a very progressive, trusted and committed leader whose public actions always reflected the interests of his constituents.
“It is because of the trust and love that the people of Juja had for Hon Waititu that they entrusted him with a second term in a very competitive election despite his illness,” the President said.
