After a detailed briefing to the public on the overall KCPE performance, Education CS Prof. George Magoha announced that both parents and candidates can now get their results through a short SMS service 20076.
To check your KCPE exams results by SMS, send an SMS with your Index Number Followed by the Initials KCPE to 20076 from Safaricom, Airtel or Telcom networks.
The SMS costs Ksh.25/- and once you have send the SMS you should wait for the results to be relayed on your phone.
In as much as the feedback should be instant, high number of individuals seeking for the service may be a reason for delays.
Faith Mumo was announced as the top candidate with 433 marks.

2021 KCPE results highlights
Overall performance improved compared to 2019. Although the mark of the highest candidate dropped from 440 to 433 in 2020, the mean average performance and quality of grades for all candidates is higher.
20 counties registered more female than male candidates: Isiolo, Meru, Vihiga, Kakamega, Busia, Nairobi, Kwale, Elgeyo Marakwet, Siaya, Tharaka Nithi, Kisii, Kisumu, Bungoma, Kilifi, Lamu, Bomet, Mombasa, Uasin Gishu, Makueni and Migori.
Five papers recorded an improvement in performance in the year 2020 KCPE when compared to 2019. These are: English Composition, Kiswahili Lugha, Kenyan Sign Language Objective, Mathematics and Religious Education.
Female candidates performed slightly better than their male counterparts in English, Kiswahili and Kenyan Sign Language.
Male candidates performed slightly better than their female counterparts in Maths, Science and Social Studies and Religious Education.
