Defense Ministry announces over 200 job vacancies for civilians
The ministry of defense has announced over 200 vacancies in various categories for civilians.
Applicants have until Monday 3rd May to send their applications. This is according the advert send out by Ministry of defense on Tuesday 13th.
The vacant positions include plumbers (5), spray painters (7), panel beaters (5), welders (5), carpenters (8), electricians (5), vehicle mechanics (33), clerical offers (49), sanitary cleaners (51), drivers (11) and cooks (30).
All successful candidates will be entitled to a basic monthly salary of between Ksh 15,670 and Ksh 17,570.
Employment will be on permanent and pensionable basis.
Apart from the salary above, those who will manage to secure the employment vacancies will also be entitled to a housing allowance depending on the area of deployment, commuter allowance of Ksh.3,000 and leave allowance of Ksh4,000 once every year.

To qualify to apply, all the fields advertised have a common requirements including Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade ‘D’ plain or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
