Barack Obama’s Sister Auma Obama Breaks The Internet With Her New Hairstyle
Barack Obama’s sister Auma Obama needs no introduction to ordinary Kenyan citizen. Whenever you mention Barack Obama here in Kenya, Auma’s name will automatically pop up.
She has always played a bigger role in welcoming her brother in the country every time he visits, he signature dreadlocks hairstyle is synonymous with most Kenyans and when she cut her dreadlocks down Kenyans received the new look with mixed reactions.
On 12th August Auma shared photos of her new look on Twitter with a caption “On a light note … Went in for a haircut and came out looking like this! My New Normal ….”
Auma Obama did not only cut her hair short but also dyed it.
Kenyans were quick to weigh in and give their comments. While others warmly congratulated her for the change, many were unhappy with her new look with some calling up on her barber to be sued.

Rita Auma Obama may be famous for her kinship but her thick hair that was pulled into rough locks has definitely been significant in her identity. However, the sociologist, community activist, and writer stirred mixed reactions on social media after she cut her locks and donned a new look.
