Ahmed Shahame Mwidani Technical Training Institute (ASMTTI), is a centre of excellence in technical and vocational training. (ASMTTI) is managed by a Board of Governors (BOG), which consists of members appointed by the Cabinet Secretary CS) to represent the community, industry, professionals, Principal Secretary and the Governor of the County.

The college offers both Certificate, Artisan, Diploma and higher diploma Courses. The courses include; Certificate in business management, Electrical Installation, Information Communication Technology, Ssocial work and community development, Electrical engineering (power), Mechatronics engineering, Supply chain management among others.

The minimum qualification for a diploma course at Aldai Technical Training Institute is C- in KCSE and D (Plain) for a certificate course. Students who wish to join the college can apply through Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS). Or visit the college to process the application.
