Babu Owino Gifted Two Goats, Then Names Them Uhuru and Raila
The outspoken and vocal Embakasi East MP Babu Owino received a delegation of Maasai elders who gifted him two with two goats following his online classes that have been greatly helping students.
He would later name the goats after President Uhuru and Raila Odinga pointing out that the two leaders have been at the forefront promoting peace in the country.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank the Maasai community for honouring me with two fertile goats because of the online Education lessons I have been offering to our children,” he said via Twitter on Tuesday.
“I named the goats Uhuru and Raila to honour the leaders for promoting peace and tranquillity in this country.”
The Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino, who for a long time championed for student welfare back in his days as Chairman of the powerful Students Organisation of Nairobi University (SONU), seized the moment in May and started online classes for secondary school candidates preparing for their national exams.
Hundreds have been following his classes on social media pages and the First Class Honors Actuarial Science Graduate promises to continue helping the candidates in their revision for as long as the normal learning remains suspended.
The MP who has been under fire for the shooting incident of Felix Odhiambo, commonly known as DJ Evolve, at B-club on January 17, did not yield to critics but continued with his lessons at a time he was battling the case while at the same time footing hospital bills for DJ Evolve.
