KUCCPS Announces Opening Of Portal For First Revision of Choices: How To Apply

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened its portal for the revision of courses and application of first choices. This is for placement at universities, TVET institutions, teacher training colleges (TTCs), and the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

The portal is now open for applicants who have not secured a course after the recent application; 2023 KCSE exam candidates (C+ and above) who have not applied; and Form Four leavers with any KCSE grade (up to year 2000). Login: students.kuccps.net

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) says this crucial opportunity allows applicants to revise their choices for placement in various tertiary institutions, including universities, TVET institutions, Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs), and the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

The portal will close on April 4, 2024.

Who Should Apply:

Unsuccessful Applicants: Those who have not secured any of their preferred choices submitted during the February/March 2024 application period.

KCSE 2023 Candidates: Students who attained a grade of C+ and above in the 2023 KCSE examinations but did not apply for Degree Programmes in the previous application window.

Form Four Leavers: Individuals with any KCSE Mean Grade from the years 2000 to 2023, who have never enrolled in tertiary institutions through KUCCPS. They are strongly encouraged to consider applying for TVET courses.

Procedure for Revising KUCCPS Courses

Ensuring that candidates make well-informed career choices from the multitude of KUCCPS programs available requires navigating the KUCCPS application system with precision. This thorough guide will aid you in reviewing KUCCPS courses online, ensuring that you do not overlook any crucial steps.

To begin, access the KUCCPS student portal and log in using your KCSE index number, examination year, and password. For your initial password, you can use either your birth certificate or KCPE index number.

Once logged in successfully, click on the “APPLICATION/REVISION” button to proceed. Begin your revision process by entering the program codes for all six choices, categorized as 1a, 1b, 1c, 2, 3, and 4.

Afterward, click on the “Check requirements” button to confirm your eligibility for the selected programs. If you meet all the minimum requirements for your chosen courses, a submission button will appear. This “Submit” button will apply exclusively to the programs you’ve selected.

For first-time applicants, the system will prompt you with an MPESA transaction code. Complete the payment through MPESA and input the transaction code to authorize your payment. It’s essential for prospective applicants to follow the advice to proceed with payment only after verifying their eligibility status for the selected KUCCPS courses.
