President Uhuru Kenyatta Sends The Entire Cabinet On leave
President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed all Cabinet Secretaries to take a 14-day break .
The Chief administrative and principal secretaries were also directed to proceed on compulsory leave with information indicating that the next cabinet meeting will be held on September 3rd.
News in the public domain had earlier indicated that there was going to be a cabinet reshuffle. However, a report from a reliable source has indicated that the decision was taken to allow the ministers to have some rest having been engaged since the year began.
With the new directive in place, The Tuesday sub-Cabinet meetings, officially known as the National Development Implementation and Communication Cabinet Committee chaired by Interior CS Fred Matiangi however remains mandatory.
This comes barely days after Elachi voluntarily resigned from the chaos-ridden assembly, in a surprise move after previously vowing to stay put.
A reliable source of information indicates that former Nairobi county assembly speaker Beatrice Elachi are reportedly among those poised to land plum state jobs when the announcement comes.
