The recipe for making chapati is very simple, it just calls for flour, warm water and some salt or some oil. That’s all it requires  to make Chapatis.
Preparing Soft Chapatis Step By Step
Step1: Get some wheat flour depending on the size and number of chapatis you want to prepare.
Step 2: Mix your wheat flour with some salt, some sugar to give it a nice balance
Step 3: Add some water into your mixture and star to make a dough.
Step 4: Add some vegetable oil into your dough and continue to mix. Add more flour to make the dough hard enough. Make sure you attain a well-mixed hard dough ball. Let the dough have the same consistency as a bread dough that is nice and soft.
Step 5. Continue mixing until it is ready. You can know it is ready when you pops back when you try to press the dough with your finger. If the dough is too wet, add more flour.
Step 6: Now cover your ready dough with a plastic paper wrapping and leave it for 30- 40min. This will allow the dough to gluten and be more softer.
Step 7: Remove the paper wrapping after 30min and put the dough ball on a work table.  you will need to sprinkle some flour on the table to prevent the dough from sticking on the work table.
Step 8: Roll or stretch the dough into a shape that will make it simple to cut into small pieces
Step 9: Cut the rolled dough into small and equal balls ready to cook. You can do this perfectly using a dough scraper to attain the equally standard sizes that you need.
Step 10: Now roll your small dough balls into circular shapes using a rolling stick in good enough sizes to fit on your pan
Step 11: Place your pan on fire to heat it up. Springle some cooking oil on it and leave it to heat up as you roll your dough
Step 12:  Start cooking your Chapatis straight away one by one each time adding oil on the pan and turning them to cook evenly on both sides.
Step: 13: Make sure your Chapatis are well cooked before removing them on the pan. A well-cooked chapati should be golden brown in color.
Step 14: Stack your chapatis as they cook and keep them in a warm storage container.
That’s it. you can use your chapati with any other meal. By following the above steps you will be able to prepare chapatis that are soft and more delicious.
