Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg Becomes a Centibillionaire

Facebook Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is the new Centibillionaraire in the world after Facebook profit surged.
On Thursday 6th, Facebook’s stock skyrocketed to a new height of 6.5% a day after the company launched its TikTok rival Reel thus making Zuckerberg $100 Billion rich.
Zukerberg new status places him third on the richest people in the world two steps behind Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
Mark Zuckerberg who holds 13% stake in the company according to the Bloomberg Billionaires index owns Facebook, Instagram , WhatsApp and the new found baby Reel which is on Instagram.
Facebook shares are up almost 30% this year, adding $22 billion to Zuckerberg’s wealth.
The Covid-19 pandemic has seen Facebook’s products see more engagement as the restricted movement see more people use adapt the online communication method. Facebook recently announced that its users had hit a new height of 3 Billion mark across its Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp platforms.
The new threats by US president Donald Trump to burn the use of TikTok in US seems to have given Mark Zuckerberg an new opportunity to venture in as the company added Reel on its Instagram platform.
Trump made good on his threats by Issuing an executive order on Thursday to block TikTok from operating in US if its Chinese owner ByteDance does not sell the business to a US firm within 45 days – CNN has reported.
