Dog sent off pitch with a red card for invading pitch four times in a football match
It was during a friendly football much that the unthinkable unfolded where a dog invaded a football match four times forcing the referee to send the dog off pitch with a red-card.
In the bizarre incident during a friendly football match in Siberia on Friday between Serbia’s second-tier teams Radnicki 1923 Kragujevac and Kolubara Lazarevac, the dog invaded the pitch severally and the match had to be stopped each time.
Belgrade daily Sportski Zurnal published a photograph on its website of referee Marko Ivkovic flashing a red card to the dog who had chased the ball relentlessly every time it ran onto the pitch before it finally scampered off.
“In a friendly between Kolubara and Radnički Kragujevac, an over-excited dog invaded play FOUR times. After the dog’s fourth incursion, the dog was sent off by the referee and, when it refused to leave the field, the match was abandoned.” Richard Wilson tweeted.
