Texas Becomes The First State To sue Biden’s Administration

Just two days after President Joe Biden took office, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton  announced Friday that he’s taking the Biden administration to court over its plan to freeze most deportations for the next 100 days.
This has been viewed an early signal that some conservative state officials plan on fighting in courtrooms to halt Biden’s agenda.
Paxton calls move by President Joe Biden as ‘unlawful’ and therefore decided to go ahead and sue Biden’s administration.
“I won’t tolerate unlawful acts from Joe Biden’s  administration. Today, I am taking action” Paxton stated.
“Our state defends the largest section of the southern border in the nation. Failure to properly enforce the law will directly and immediately endanger our citizens and law enforcement personnel,” Paxton said in a statement.


Immigrants advocates had condemned the last- minute contract the Trump administration had signed with Texas and other states last months to deport immigrants deemed as illegal.

The lawyers claimed the agreement was ill intended and it was passed  with the aim of frustrating Biden’s administration.
Upon assuming office, President Biden announced a 100 day deportation freeze on Immigrants deportation. He also announced the reversal of the 2017 travel ban against majority Muslim countries.
Days before Trump left office, a plane from USA landed in Kenya with individuals onboard believed to be immigrant from. The individuals on board were reported to be of Somali origin, some Ethiopians and a Kenyan.
