The administration of St. Anne’s School Makadara today locked out a student who arrived late for school, following the institution’s strict adherence to its attendance policy. The student, whose identity has been withheld, arrived several minutes after the scheduled school opening time, prompting the school’s security team to deny entry to the premises.
The decision has sparked a mixed reaction among students and parents. While some support the school’s efforts to enforce discipline and punctuality, others have raised concerns about the consequences of such strict policies, especially when unforeseen circumstances cause delays.
A school representative stated that the action was in line with the school’s rules, which emphasize the importance of discipline and time management. “Our students are expected to arrive on time to ensure smooth learning and to instill responsibility,” the representative explained.
