The number of supervisors to be hired has risen this year from  170,000 in 2019 to 286,000 in 2021. This was as a result of an increase in the number of examination centers from 38,096 in 2019 to 38,888 in 2021.
Total candidates also increased from 1.08 million in 2019 to 1.2 million in 2020.
The field officers contracted for the administration of exams will be expected to register online using the Contracted Professional CP2 system by 25th February.
“KNEC has prepared examinations for students with different disabilities namely the blind, low vision, hearing impairment and the physically challenged to avoid any inconveniences during exam,” KNEC stated.
KCPE is set to start on March 22nd, 2021 and end on March 24th, 2021 while KCSE is scheduled to commence on March 25th and end on April 16th 2021.
This announcement  comes even as we continue  battling the COVID-pandemic.
The ministry of Education still insists on the strict adherence to the Ministry of Health protocols to curb the spread of the virus in schools.
